Homemade Mayonnaise in a Couple of Minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp white wine vinegar
  • 1 pinch Maldon salt
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 dl rapeseed oil

Instructions

Start by separating the yolk from the egg and place it in the measuring cup.

Add all the other ingredients except the oil and place the immersion blender into the mixture. Pour the oil over. Make sure the immersion blender is standing straight and start on full power. Blend for a few seconds until you see the mayonnaise consistency starting to form, then slowly pull the immersion blender upwards.

Notes

Tip: Add a clove of garlic if you want to make aioli! Use a measuring cup that is approximately as wide as the immersion blender head.
