Sometimes you just crave street food, and you absolutely deserve to treat yourself.
Here’s a kebab you can make on a weeknight, and when you make it yourself, you know exactly what’s in your food. In this homemade street-style kebab recipe, you can keep it simple by buying wraps like you would use for tacos, or make them yourself following my tortilla wrap recipe.
Enough for 5-6 kebabs (2-3 people)
Turn on the broiler in the oven. Mix the spices into the ground beef with your hands. Shape the meat into a square patty using your hands. Cook it in a frying pan on both sides until browned. Then cut slices from the meat, place them on a plate, and put under the broiler for 4-5 minutes on each side. You can warm the wraps in aluminum foil while cooking the meat, but make sure they’re positioned away from the broiler so they don’t get too hot. Remember, if you’re making wraps from scratch, do this before cooking the meat—you can keep them warm the same way, but place them at the very bottom of the oven in aluminum foil.

Cut the vegetables and place them in bowls. Set everything on the table and let everyone assemble their own kebab. It's delicious to mix some Sriracha sauce into the sour cream. Add extra Sriracha if you're a chili lover like me 🙂
Notes
Tip: Make the wraps from scratch for extra authentic flavor. Mix Sriracha into the sour cream for an extra kick!
