Ingredients
- 400 g pasta
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 pcs chicken fillet, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- --- Basil Sauce ---
- 2 dl heavy cream
- 50 g parmesan, grated
- 1 large handful fresh basil, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add a bit of salt. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente.
Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the chicken pieces and cook until they are cooked through and have a light golden color, about 5-7 minutes.
Add the garlic to the pan with the chicken and stir for about 1 minute until the garlic is fragrant.
Reduce the heat to low and add the heavy cream and parmesan to the pan. Stir well until the parmesan has melted and the sauce is smooth.
Add the chopped basil and season with salt and pepper. Let the sauce simmer for 2 minutes until it's slightly thicker.
Drain the pasta and incorporate it into the sauce. Stir well so that the pasta is well coated with the basil sauce.
Notes
Tip: Serve with a sprinkle of fresh basil and extra grated parmesan for added flavor.
