Ingredients
- 1.25 dl coarse whole wheat flour
- 2 dl sifted rye flour
- 1.25 dl water
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp butter
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
Mix flour, baking powder and salt together in a bowl. Boil water and melt butter in the water. Knead the dough and let rest for 20 minutes.
Use a rolling pin to make the tortillas as round and thin as possible. It's smart to use plenty of flour, and to prevent them from sticking to the counter, turn the tortilla frequently after each roll.
Brush off excess flour and cook in a non-stick pan on highest or second-highest heat. Flip when bubbles form and stack in layers wrapped in a kitchen towel until serving.
Notes
Tip: Use plenty of flour while rolling and turn the tortilla often to prevent sticking.
